Fire & Smoke

The EDSF Product group "Fire & Smoke" is a forum to discuss, prepare and promote relevant standards for its industrial members. To do so the group has given itself a mission statement:

E     ducate      Educate about fire & smoke compartmentation products.

D     istribute    Distribute comprehensible product information and industry best
                        practices for installation, use, service & maintenance.

S     peak         Speak for the interest of European manufacturers to relevant institutions.

F     urther        Further the advance of EU standards worldwide.

Currently the work group deals with the interpretation of the fire and smoke product standard for doors, relevant test standards and connected EXAP rules (extended application).
