European legislation, transmitted into national regulations,
now defines specific Essential Health and Safety Requirements
(EHSRs) which have to be incorporated into products.
The CE mark identifies products which conform to the requirements
of the European Directives. Doors and shutters are covered
by four directives providing for CE marking:
* For all doors and shutters:
* Construction Products Directive
(CPD)
* For power operated doors and shutters:
* Machinery Directive (MD)
* Low Voltage Directive (LVD)
* Electro-Magnetic Compatibility
Directive (EMCD)
